Last updated 23 September 2026
This policy explains what personal information TROOS Company ("TROOS", "we") collects when you use our website (troos.app) and the TROOS app, why we need it, who can see it and what you can ask us to do with it. We only collect what we need to measure, stitch and deliver your garments.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, mobile number, and email address if you add one, plus your language setting.
- Addresses: the addresses you save for visits, including a map location (GPS coordinates) when you choose to pin it.
- Measurements: body measurements you save yourself, and those our field executive records at your doorstep. These are saved to your measurement profiles so you don't have to be measured again.
- Photos: photos of your fabric taken when it is collected, and of your garment when it is ready, picked up and delivered, so everyone can confirm what was handed over.
- Orders: what you ordered, your design notes, visit dates and times, prices, whether you paid in cash or by UPI, any alteration request, and your ratings and reviews of tailors.
- Messages to us: what you send through the contact and callback forms on the website and in the app (name, mobile number, and optionally email, PIN code and your message), and partner applications (name, shop name, mobile number, city, PIN code, experience, the garments you stitch and your message).
- Technical information: your IP address, used briefly to stop abuse such as repeated sign-in attempts, and a push notification token for your device if you allow notifications.
The website uses no advertising or analytics trackers and sets no cookies. The app keeps your sign-in on your device so you stay logged in.
How we use it
- To sign you in: we send a one-time code to your mobile number by SMS.
- To fulfil your orders: showing you tailors who serve your PIN code, arranging the visit, measuring, stitching, delivering and collecting payment.
- To keep you updated about your order through push notifications and the app.
- To answer your enquiries and partner applications.
- To keep the service safe, prevent fraud and meet our legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
Who can see it
- Your tailor sees your name, the items you ordered, your measurements, design notes, fabric photos and the schedule. Tailors do not see your phone number or address.
- Our field executive sees your name, phone number, address and map location while your visit or delivery is open, so they can reach you. They may open your location in a maps app such as Google Maps to navigate.
- Other customers see only your first name next to a review you publish.
- TROOS staff see what they need to run and support your orders.
- Service providers who process data for us: Twilio (sending sign-in codes by SMS), Expo (delivering push notifications), our cloud hosting, database and file storage providers, and our email provider (sending our team alerts about new enquiries). They may only use it to provide their service to us.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is open. You can delete your account from the Account screen in the app once you have no active orders. This removes your saved addresses, measurement profiles and notifications, and removes your name, phone number and email from your account. Records of past orders, including the delivery address and measurements used for them, are kept for our accounts and to handle any disputes. Enquiries and partner applications are kept for as long as we need them to respond and follow up.
How we protect it
Information travels encrypted (HTTPS). Staff, tailors and field executives only see what their role needs. Photos are shared through links that expire, and sign-in sessions are stored in a form that cannot be reused if our database were copied.
Your choices and rights
- You can see and correct your name, email, addresses and measurements in the app at any time.
- You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it.
- You can turn off push notifications in your device settings.
- You can withdraw your consent by deleting your account, though we can then no longer serve you.
To make a request or complaint, email hello@troos.app or call +91 92147 47060. Our grievance officer is [name to be appointed], reachable at the same email address. We will reply within 30 days.
Children
TROOS accounts are for adults. A parent or guardian can order garments for a child using their own account.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
